Ambience & Dress Code

We provide a very relaxed and informal environment for sailors visiting the island. Although 60% of our island is set in the open air and therefore semi-dependant on good weather,  we can handle a curveball by Mother Nature, should she decides to bless us with some rain. If necessary, sailors can gather in the eating areas which will be enclosed with awnings to create  a warm and cosy atmosphere and if need be we can even light our oversized fire place. When the skies are clear pit fires are scattered around the island with a huge bon fire in the middle.

The dress code is beach wear and we all know not to wear high heels to the beach…

Vermaak – Skut jou biscuit

Lekker musiek is daar beslis.

Entertainment Shake it

We play music to set the vibe and although the decibels are a bit higher than your average restaurant, we keep it so that we can hear each other. Visitors are automatically entered into our lucky draw with a chance to win a free island pass for their next visit and maybe even a nice bottle of wine or two

Kos – Die eintlike rede hoekom ons hier is…

Food What it’s all about

There are five courses on offer. Once a serving is announced, make your way to the main serving table and dish up until your heart’s content. If you are spoiling yourselves to some prawns, present your “Prawn Star” badge at any time and the chef will prepare them fresh to order.

Fresh farm bread, pap, rice and a hot veg is available as an accompaniment to all meals. While we encourage guests to dish up for themselves a crewmate is on standby to assist those in need

Drankies – Nou praat jy!

Drinks! Now you’re talking!

Bring along whatever you would like to drink and a word to the wise – bring extra, just in case the Mrs runs out and tries to share yours. For safety reasons, we do not allow any glass glasses on the island and ask that you bring plastic glasses or tin cups.

Beer, wine, cider, champagne and spirit bottles are, however, permitted on the island. Please ensure to pack all your cooler box essentials such as ice, straws, bottle openers and cups. This will not be provided.

Cooler boxes are not permitted when ordering off the a la carte menu at selected branches.
